#1 — 💵 New “Climate Finance Tracker.”

#2 — 🌄$222M for Smarter Clean Hydrogen Production
That’s a big number.
But much smaller than the $600B of investment needed in green hydrogen by 2050.
If you want to learn more about how an OG in renewable energy hard tech is thinking about this sector…
Check out my podcast with Raffi Garabedian, CEO of Electric Hydrogen.
They recently raised $198 million from leading climate investors such as Fifth Wall, S2G Ventures Silicon Valley Bank, Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, Equinor Ventures, Honeywell, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Rio Tinto, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Capricorn Partners, Energy Impact Partners, and Prelude Ventures.
In addition, Raffi is the former CTO of First Solar, the leading global manufacturer of thin film solar panels; founder of Touchdown Technologies; and holder of 20 issued patents.
#3 — 🤬 To all the carbon tech haters…
From wham-bam-billionaire investor Chris Sacca in pure form:
So, I love the naysayers, and I’m kind of like, “Okay, stand back and watch.”
I’m at this point where I kind of don’t give a shit. Either you’re helping, or get the fuck out of the way.
Bless anybody who says that shit; they just haven’t been in the lab.
They haven’t seen what’s happening, and they’re literally betting against what we’re seeing as a rate of change in technology that is steeper than ever before. It’s compute power.
I mean, the amount of compute power that a team of three scientists now has available to them would have cost a half a million dollars eight years ago.
So now, in a lot of our industries, experiments that used to take 1-2 years to design, execute and digest can be done hundreds of times per week. It’s literally that steep a curve.

#4 — 😮 A new tablet to kill your pen and paper.
During our recent Climate CEO retreat in Asheville, North Carolina, one member wowed the other founders with this new productivity tool he was using. (below)
Within 15 minutes, another CEO member had already purchased one.
I won’t do the selling, and I get no commissions. 😂
But check it out for yourself — reMarkable tablet.
#5 — 👂 We have 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason.
As great leaders understand, we should seek to listen more instead of being heard.
Actually, I think they forgot to include that line in the famous Prayer of St. Francis (below).
And if you want to be a better listener…
Check out this blog from the John Maxwell team.
If that sounds like a super easy and obvious skill, and the calendar is just too full to practice it more — then we really, really do need to read that post. 😆
Prayer of St. Francis
Make me an instrument of peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal [aka, a super sweet] life.*

* Sounds like the wisdom of my boy Confuscious: “We have two lives; the second begins when we realize we only have one.”
That’s all, y’all.
Make it a great week, because it’s usually a choice.
